Costume Shop Assistant

  •  Acted as First Hand, and liaison between Manager and crew. Assisted Shop Manager to supervise and direct wardrobe crew for each production, and assist with performer fittings and rehearsal and show costume notes, to ensure timely production of costumes and a smooth run of show.
  • Drafted and cut patterns, sewed and repaired costumes, and assisted with Theater Department productions from conception of design through fittings and run of show.
  • Assisted to maintain costume stock, and shop for fabric and new stock costumes, as well as dye, distress and paint costumes as needed; oversaw and assisted with laundering and repairs of current show costumes.

General Assistant – Theater Facilities Unit

  • Wardrobe: Assisted visiting shows with dressing and emergency repairs of costumes.
  • House Manager: Oversaw ushers, maintained and enforced theater house rules, worked with stage management to ensure smooth run of shows.
  • Box office assistant: Sold tickets from window using TicketMaster system, as well as handling phone, mail & fax orders, including processing of season tickets. Responsible for mailings of theater information to current & prospective patrons.
